Morgan house, the original library building and its annex, from which all other museum and library activities radiates.Located in the largest of the three pavilions, the glass-enclosed courtyard gives visitors a view of the side and back of the McKim building — never before publicly accessible — and of the neighboring prewar apartment buildings through a towering rear window. In 2010 the Morgan restored the interior of the 1906 library to its original grandeur. The ornate ceiling of the librarian's office, or North Room, was cleaned, and visitors are able to enter the refurbished space—now a gallery—for the first time.
